Little Helper!

I always said I would be having my children do work around the house at a young age so they could get use to it, but I think 1 may be a little to young to put to work. Quintin is always trying to get into the dishwasher no matter how many times you take him out there he is back at it before you can put another dish in. What a good little helper I am so proud of him.

Bummed Economy Got you DOWN?

So Thursday Bryce comes home from work with bad news, he was layed off!!! No good I know, he has worked there for over two years and is the person employed the longest in the yard. But here is the catch he is the only person in the yard who has had an injury in the last year so they had to let him go over men who have been there for 2 months. The best part of it all is the accident was someone else's fault, the guy hit him the back of the head with a 2x4. What a joke I know but that's how it goes and there isn't much me can do but file for unemployment and receive 60 percent of his income. We decided to make lite of the situation and Bryce will just not go back to work and go to school full time and work maybe get a part time job in the evenings. So wish us luck as we start this new chapter of your life's. So don't let the bummed economy get you down try and make the best of what you have, turn this lose into a win for yourself and your family. Take a chance and risk what you can to make life better for you. Thanks you all so much for your love and support it is much appreciated.

Hives

So we found out the hard way that Quintin is allergic to anything that has penicillin in it. He had a double ear infection and the first medication didn't do the job so we went back for a second, after being on it foe 7 days Quintin broke out in hives. I wasn't sure why I couldn't think of any foods he had that were different so I decided to give him benadryl to see if they would just go away. Well they were just geting worse so at the end of the day Bryce and I had to take him to insta care and the only thing we can come up with is that he is allergic to the penicillin based medicine he was taking. The Doctor said to stop it right away and put him on steroids to help them go away. So after a few long nights of no sleep he if finally doing better. Poor little guy, he was such a good sport trying to be happy. The hives got much worse after these pictures but he didn't feel much like taking new ones.

Birthday BOY!

Here is Quintin the day he was born and then today opening his gifts.

I can't believe Quintin is one today. So much has happened in the last year. The day Quintin was born was a scary one, we went to the hospital to be induced and after four hours we had to have an emergency c-section. We don't know why but his heart rate was dropping way to low. Quintin was born at 1:28 on October 23rd 2007 weighting 6 pounds 14 ounces and completely healthy. Our first night home was rough Quintin didn't want to sleep eat or stop crying so after four hours of crying I decided that we should have him checked out so back to the hospital we go and nothing is wrong just a fussy baby. After two or three nights of this he adjusted and to this day he still likes to wake up and eat once a night. At 11 months we heard Quintin giggle in his sleep for the first time, it was so fun to see him do something new. At 5 months he started to sit up all by himself. at 7 months he started to clap and wave in the same day he could a;so say a couple vowels along with some words like mama, the sounds of bubble butt and the word Hi. At 8 month he was already begging for food of the table so of course everyone gave it to him, and now it's all he will eat no more bottles unless it's bed time. At 9 months Quintin began to do his version of crawling which was a very funny army crawl but hey it got him around, He then started to use the wall as a way to walk around the house with out anyone having to help him for almost a month and a half we watched him do this. At 10 months he took his first 4 steps without help from anyone or anything. He was so excited he started to clap and fell over. along with having 2 teeth and a very strong personality Quintin learned how to dance when he could hear music. At 11 months he is copying about any word you say to him along with picking his nose, pulling everything out of the cupboards and loving every minute of it. Here he is at 12 months walking playing and having a ball without a care in the world he is such a beautiful baby. We love him so much and couldn't ask for anything more. We are so blessed with still healthy little boy and for that we are grateful. Happy Birthday Buddy.

Riding Pony

So for Quintin's first Christmas my mom and dad got him a rocking horse, but it never worked and it was to big for him. So last weekend we finally got him a new one and he loves it. He fits on it perfect. It plays music and makes horse sounds, it's pretty cute.

Early Winter!

so the Saturday it snowed I decided that we really should get the baby a coat. So in the middle of the snow I took Quintin coat shopping after looking for what felt like forever we found this one which I love and it fits him great. Doesn't he look so cute?

Bath time

Quintin loves to get in the bath, his favorite time is after he gets washed and can just sit there and splash all he wants. He loves his bath toys and always tries to take them out of the bath with him. I'm sure you can see the mark on his cheek, well Quintin experienced his first time having another child bite him. I felt so bad for him he couldn't stop crying, it is looking a lot better here when it first happened it was bleeding and very red. Poor guy.
